Good news, World!

I am pretty proud after knowing that I get some awards lately. Specially by "Suburban Safari," a magazine produced by the FPG, where I share the credits with Lindsay Moore, Matt Dean and Kari Barnett, we were awarded with the Overall Second Prize at the Community Papers of Florida 2010 Awards for Excellence, the Judge's Choice Prize and also I get a Honorable Mention for Best Original Photo. By the way, the cover photo of Suburban Safari is mine, and is the cutest (first on left). Click on each image to see it in full size.

Hi World... I am Marta, Photographer/Graphic Designer. I had a camera in my hands since I can remember, started with a old Yashica looking - not touching - my Grandpa's Leica. I belong to the generation which had a darkroom and spent the happiest hours in that darkroom with my friends Puccini, Verdi, Wagner, Massenet, processing thousands of BW and color photos, yes I had a color darkroom. .... long time ago - well, 15 years ago. not so long.
Now, the digital era transformed the darkroom in the pleasant computer - same music. The dear Nikon let us check the immediate result, everything is fast, automated and efficient.
Because of that, more than ever is necessary the talent.
I published several books, designed tons of projects and freelanced a lot. I am a staff photographer at FPG-Sun Sentinel (Tribune newspapers) since 2004. I do community news. Obviously I can't post that material, but you can find my photos all over if Google my name.
